The vision is simple, to build the best South Asian Brand.
The Inception of Majora
2019: The inception of Majora took place in 2019, when Chand realised, during his brother's wedding, that there was a notable absence of comfortable Mojris in the market. His search for a suitable pair online proved challenging – everything available was either overpriced or uncomfortable.
2020: During Covid, Chand began the design and sourcing process from his bedroom, relying solely on his laptop.
2021: In 2021, Majora launched its first product – 125 Gold Mojris, crafted in India. The year involved attending South Asian fairs, posting on Facebook groups, and selling to friends and family.
2022: Confronting the reality that production processes in India were somewhat outdated in terms of vertical work, technology, and turnaround speed, Majora embarked on a global quest to find the best factories. This strategic move resulted in a significant enhancement of our Mojris. The transition was challenging but imperative for us to evolve into a brand that excelled in every aspect.
2023: The turning point came in 2023, when viral moments on TikTok catapulted us to worldwide recognition, resulting in a substantial surge in global sales. Orders poured in from the USA, Australia, Dubai, Europe, and Canada. At the same time, Chand was walking into some of the finest South Asian retailers in London pitching his shoes and proudly entering their shelves.
